Position: Labourer, Site Servic es Reference No.: 2024-2307 Date Posted: 4/3/2024 Location: Mount Milligan, BC, Canada Position Type: Fixed Term Summary Reporting to the Site Servic es Supervisor, the labourer will assist in various maintenance activiti es common to a surface hardrock mining and milling operation and the associated crushing, grinding, flotation, conveyor systems and support equipment. R es p ons ibili ti es * Assist the site servic es trad es people in the repairs and maintenance to structur es and components of site faciliti es * Snow removal around the mine site * Operating company vehicl es to pick up trash around the mine site * Provide on-site service * Assist Site Servic es Equipment Operators * Assist in fabricati ons and product enhancements as required * Actively participate in various safety activiti es * Assist in performing Preventative Maintenance inspecti ons * Assist in the repair of equipment in the field or shop * Actively participate in continuous improvement initiativ es Experience, Skills, and Abili ti es * Proven safety and attendance record * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to lift50 pounds is required * Willingness to work in adverse conditi ons * Self motivated, team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision * Ability to self-evaluate and continuously strive for quality * Good radio communication is key * This position will be required to work inside the Mill, Crushing and Site facilities or in the field as required * Must be able to prioritize tasks and keep on schedule * Must be physically fit * Valid Canadian Driver’s License * Requirement to meet pre-employment testing requirements Working Condi ti ons * Work involves a camp-based role at the Mount Milligan Mine site with a set work schedule on a 7x7 work schedule, 12 hours per day. * Work consists of a high degree of social interaction with employees in person. * Regular exposure to multiple priorities requiring scheduling changes and uncertainty in the work organization, * Occasional exposure to hazardous environments with the requirement of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). * Mount Milligan is a safety-sensitive environment and promotes a drug & alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a ZERO –TOLERANCE policy, with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs/paraphernalia on site. * Bus transportation to and from site is provided free of charge from several locations within the region.
