Traffic Control & Lane Closure Technicians

KMF Traffic Solutions has several positions available for Traffic Control Persons & Lane Closure Technicians for immediate full-time employment. KMF is an affiliate company of the Island Asphalt/OK Industries Group of Companies. Since February, KMF has been undergoing a large scale expansion to both new and existing operating bases in Victoria, Duncan, Nanaimo, Parksville and Courtenay for traffic control services. Multiple benefits exist due to the relationship with the parent company. Qualifications & Requirements -Valid BCCSA Traffic Control Person certificate -Valid driver's license with clean abstract -Must have own reliable vehicle Duties and responsibilities: -Able to work flexible hours and on-call shifts -Ability to understand and apply WCB & MOT safe work practices at all times -Ability to listen to and communicate specific instructions clearly, firmly under pressure while remaining professional -Physically able to fulfill job requirements and work long hours outdoors in all weather -Responsible for the set-up, maintenance and takedown of signage at the job site -Ensure the accurate set up of lanes that flow and provide safety to motorists and personal at the job site Benefits: -Extended health care -Dental care -Vision care -Life insurance -Disability insurance -Employee Assistance Program -Company Car -Part-time/Full-time hours: 30-40 per week Salary: $18.00-$25.00 per hour Additional Compensation: Signing Bonus Overtime pay Schedule: Mon to Fri 8-10 hours per day.
