Rebe - Domestic Medium Hair Cat

Shelter: BC SPCA - Campbell River Branch Animal ID: 517336 Birthdate: September 22, 2019 - Young Adult Spayed/Neutered: No Female 'Rebe' came into our care from a community on the North Island, so we know very little about her background. She has been in foster since she came into our care, and her foster reports that she is very set in her needs. She hasn't been handled a great deal and does prefer to not be held. 'Rebe' is reactive to actions that she is wary of or does not want to do. Trips in the kennel are very stressful for her, as are getting into the kennel. You will have to understand that she is quite reactive in these situations, and have the time to work with her so she knows that it really is okay and can be fun. In the home, she likes to be up high looking over the area and observing on her terms. She seems to be a girl who would rather keep tabs on you to be sure you are behaving rather than being on your lap cuddling. Although her foster reports she does love to have treats and head rubs and will reward you with some soft purrs. 'Rebe' is not the type of girl who will want cuddles on your lap, but with time and patience she will love to come and soak up the love on her terms. She is very sweet, she is just misunderstood. If you are looking to add to your home, and you have an understanding of what Rebe is going to need, definitely take the time to come and meet with her.
