Jims Mowing in the Comox Valley is looking for 2-3 people for this up coming season position to start mid March Must be able to work solo or in a team atmosphere. Knowledge and experience working in the field an asset but willing to train the right individual. Applicants Must have a valid drivers licence with clean drivers abstract and reliable transportation to work. This is a high energy position with heavy lifting. If interested please email resume Below is a description of the jobs carried out on a daily basis. -Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers. -Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes. -Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, snow blowers, chain-saws, sod cutters, or pruning saws. -Drive trucks or other vehicles to or at work sites. -Irrigate lawns, trees, or plants. -Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws. -Trim trees or other vegetation. -Operate grounds maintenance equipment. -Shovel snow from walks, driveways, or parking lots and spread salt in those areas. -Remove snow. -Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring. -Maintain equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning. -Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, removing thatch, or trimming or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls. -Trim or pick flowers and clean flower beds. -Clean facilities or sites. -Trim trees or other vegetation. -Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edgers. -Rake, mulch, and compost leaves. -Remove debris from work sites. -Maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures, such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, or benches, using hand or power tools. -Maintain equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning. -Haul or spread topsoil or spread straw over seeded soil to hold soil in place.
