Hello! Could you benefit from counselling, but cannot afford the fees? My name is Becky Michaluk, and I am an intern counsellor offering free, and pay-what-you-can counselling out of the offices of Seahorse Counselling. I am in my final year of a Masters of Counselling Psychology degree. I am trained to work with teenagers and adults covering all kinds of mental health issues. I help people who are seeking to heal from trauma, addiction, and self-defeating behaviours move forward into a richer, more meaningful life. Using mind/body/spirit inclusive approaches, I provide both tools and information, as well as an immersive healing experience. I draw deeply from cross-cultural wisdom approaches, philosophy, and evidence-based neurobiology. I use Internal Family Systems (IFS) to address issues related to self-harm, eating, trauma, and more. I use Awareness-based embodiment approaches. I teach Polyvagal self-regulation skills. I use Adult Attachment theory to work with relationship issues.
